Dermatology consultation

The most honest skin advice you’ll get this year — and the foundation of everything else we do.

Most patients reach us after months of trying random products or jumping from one clinic to another. The first consultation at SkinWise is where we slow down and figure out what is actually going on — and then build a plan small enough to follow.

A consult here is 30–45 minutes of real conversation, not a five-minute prescription. Dr Khushboo maps your history, examines your skin or scalp closely, talks through everything you have already tried, and only then suggests what comes next.

You leave with a clear plan, indicative timelines, a printed or digital home routine, and our WhatsApp for the in-between questions. There is no obligation to start procedures — many plans begin with just lifestyle tweaks and a thoughtful prescription.

Dermatology consultation at SkinWise Clinic, Sarjapur Road, Bengaluru — skin analysis with Dr Khushboo Sethia.

Good first stop if you have:

  • Persistent acne or breakouts that won’t settle
  • Pigmentation, melasma or dark spots
  • Hair fall, thinning, scalp itching or flaking
  • Skin sensitivity, redness, eczema flares
  • “I have no idea what to use” routine resets
  • Pre-event skin prep (wedding, photo shoot, exam season)
  • Pediatric and teen skin concerns

How a consult works at SkinWise

1. Mapping

Full history, lifestyle, current medication, hormonal context, and any photographs of how the concern looks at its worst. For hair fall and pigmentation, before-photos are gold.

2. Real-time skin analysis

Close examination under good light, with a dermatoscope or trichoscope where it helps. We note distribution, severity, scarring, barrier status — none of which is visible at arm’s length.

3. Plan

The minimum effective combination of home care and (only if needed) in-clinic procedures. We tell you what is essential, what is optional, and what can wait.

4. Documentation and follow-up

A written or digital plan with product names, application order, and a follow-up window (usually 4–6 weeks). WhatsApp access between visits for honest questions.

What to expect

Before your visit

Bring a list of the products you currently use (or photographs of the labels) and any recent blood reports. Photos of the concern at its worst help.

During

30–45 minutes. Ask everything. There are no silly questions; many of the most useful conversations start with one.

After

A written plan, indicative budget for any next steps, and a follow-up scheduled. Most patients return for review at 4–6 weeks.

Indicative pricing

First consultation (30–45 min) ₹800 – ₹1,200
Follow-up within 4 weeks Complimentary
Detailed digital plan + product list Included

Pricing is indicative and confirmed at booking. Procedures, if needed, are quoted separately and only after the consult.

Frequently asked questions

Will you push me into procedures?

No. Many plans are entirely home care. Procedures are recommended only when they meaningfully shorten the path to a result you could not get from skincare alone.

How long is the appointment?

30–45 minutes for a first visit. Plan to arrive 10 minutes early so paperwork doesn’t eat into the conversation.

Should I take photos before I come?

It helps — especially for hair fall and pigmentation, where progress is slow week-to-week and easy to miss without a baseline.

What if I am here for a second opinion?

Welcome. Bring your previous prescription or treatment plan and we will go through it honestly, agreeing with what is working and adjusting what isn’t.

Do you treat children?

Yes. Common pediatric skin concerns — eczema, atopic dermatitis, viral warts, molluscum, fungal infections, alopecia areata — are routinely seen.

Is everything kept confidential?

Yes. Medical confidentiality applies as it would in any clinical setting.
